This electrode contains a coiled platinum wire fused in a glass tube. This electrode is used as a counter electrode in most of the electrochemical measurements. Platinum coil electrodes are available in two different sizes and compatible with all KLyte electrochemical cell tops.
Platinum-coil is made with a platinum wire (O.D. 0.5 mm). Part of the platinum wire is connected with copper wire inside a glass shaft to make an electrical contact. The standard ground-joint 14/23 (KCE02) and 10/18 (KCE03) enables easy assembly and are compatible with all KLyte electrochemical cell-tops. The customized helix diameter, required for any specific application is also available.
